These people are dressed in swathes of silk and well-fitted tuxedoes – everyone at the grand reopening of Casino Royale has dressed to impress. Guests are given strict instructions, both to follow their individual operation and to interact with the people around them. The show, like many of its predecessors, begins with a mission, but it’s the first time this mission feels essential. Since launching in 2007, the grass-roots screenings have grown into staggering theatrical productions and the 12 years of cross-medium creativity feeds into Casino Royale. Both covert operations rely on the precise skill of their agents, the opulence of their landscapes and the danger in their entertainment. It’s difficult to imagine two worlds colliding better than those of Secret Cinema and Casino Royale. Tickets for show nights between 22 September and 6 October are on sale now. Further tickets have just been added to the previously sold-out run of Secret Cinema presents Casino Royale, with an extra two weeks of performances.
